You may ask yourself, what is a typical first week of school for a seventh grader coming into a new school? In my opinion, the first day of school is very stressful and nerve racking. Then, when you get to the last day of the week u feel accomplished. You may have one or two teachers you really like and some you don’t click with immediately. I got the privilege to interview Greta Baggins and Talia Tashoff during Cat time. I asked them a few questions about Diegueno. Let’s see how their experiences are alike.

Greta was the first person I interviewed. She was nervous on the first day of school. “Middle school is better than Elementary school because there are more people you can meet. Also, Middle school has a lot of electives. I was very happy to find out that in Middle school they have a class regarding science, because I really like science and Elementary school doesn’t really offer science.” Greta explained.

Talia was also nervous on her first day. I asked her who her favorite teacher was and she answered with “My favorite teacher is Mrs. Byrnes, because she is really nice and funny.” School is good so far for her and Middle school was more exciting than Elementary school but Elementary school was easier for her. Talia felt relieved once the first week passed and was looking forward to coming back for the second week.

As you can see they both had a similar ride. Some other similarities they both had, was that they texted their friends right when they got their classes to see if their schedules are alike. Also, they both went to cougar camp and said, it didn’t help them out with getting used to the new school. In conclusion, It seemed that their experiences were positive and I assume that other seventh graders had a similar first week. Lastly, let’s wish them along with the other income seventh graders good luck.
