Waffle House Customer Gets Stuck in a Sticky Situation

~ I’ll Take The Basic

“Willie Edward Drake, 43, was arrested last week at a Waffle House in Macon, Ga., after “screaming obscenities and insulting” the employees who told him they could not provide him with barbecue sauce, per a Bibb County Police report obtained by the Smoking Gun.” (CNN reporter Michael Bartiromo) The shocking event that recently occured at The Waffle House, an American, family themed restaurant. When a customer was denied access to BBQ sauce, he may have overreacted a bit. “I wouldn’t f—ing ask you if I didn’t know you had it!” he yelled, adding that he’d “go to f—ing jail over some barbecue sauce!” (Willie Drake, Georgia resident) His idea was that the Waffle House was a very bad barbeque restaurant, when, it is just a breakfast joint. ““We stay with the basics on condiments,”  explained Sheriff David Davis. “Mustard, ketchup and mayonnaise.”” (Telegraph reporter Joe Kovac Jr.)

~What Went Down

3 employees are witnesses to this outrage. One of the women, Basil, informed Willie that their restaurant is out of barbeque sauce, in fact, they never had it. This politely stated sentence was what sent kinless man, Willie Drake, off the deep end. “Uncooperative and disorderly” is how the Bibb County Police described Waffle House customer, Willie Drake. This isn’t the first customer service issue that occured at the Waffle House. Before this, an employee fell asleep on the job. A customer took it into his own hands to prepare his meal.

~Can you wrap that up?

Back to the topic, Willie Drake was taken into custody for a reason that most might think is uncanny. To settle the argument about whether he should’ve been arrested, yes. He should’ve. To a certain amount, it is legal to swear in public. But, in a restaurant and to a person in particular, Willie Drake has taken it too far. The lesson learned from all of this is… sauce may be the boss, but the police can still arrest you.
