With the enormous crowd roaring and dancing to the incredible music, Bohemian Rhapsody was a hit! The almost identical recreation of the bands rise to fame was, from all accounts, an accurate portrayal of Freddie Mercury/Queen’s life. Viewers loved every moment of the movie and were almost in tears during certain parts of the film. The incredible movie reviewed Freddie Mercury, lead singer of the British rock band Queen. It follows the singer’s life from when he joins the band in 1970, to their 1985 Live Aid performance at the original Wembley Stadium in London.

Bohemian Rhapsody became a major box office success, grossing over $879 million worldwide on a production budget of about $50 million. It became the sixth-highest-grossing film of 2018 worldwide and set the all-time box office records for the biopic and drama genres. As well as that, it received a 61% on Rotten Tomatoes, saying that, “Bohemian Rhapsody hits a handful of high notes, but as an in-depth look at a beloved band, it offers more of a medley than a true greatest hits collection.” At the Oscars, it won Best Actor: Rami Malek, Best Sound Mixing, Best Film Editing, and Best Sound Editing. Clearly, lots of people enjoyed the movie, but here it what others had to say:

The Common Sense Media says, “The music sequences in this drama (especially the Live Aid performance and the recording of the title song) are electrifying, and Malek is magnetic, but overall the movie is slavishly by-the-numbers.”

The N.Y Times also had an informative review of the movie, “Bohemian Rhapsody, the movie about Queen, lasts more than two hours, not a very long time long by modern feature-film standards, even though it feels interminable.”

Lastly, BookMyShow said that, “Bohemian Rhapsody is an electrifying take on Freddie Mercury’s life. Rami Malek embodies his enigmatic spirit and is every bit as legendary himself.”

Judging by multiple reviews and the Oscar Awards, it is safe to say that Bohemian Rhapsody was touching, intriguing, and heartfelt, making it one of the top movies of 2018.
