Run Like a Girl

Run Like a Girl
By Josie Willard

You may have seen the Super Bowl commercial “Run like a Girl” for the company Always. If you haven’t this is what it’s about. They asked men and women what they thought it meant to run like a girl. They then had one person who told them all what it should really mean. After that they gave all the interviewed people a second chance to change their definition of running like a girl.
It’s encouraging to see that the students at Diegueno don’t think that running like a girl is a bad thing. They view it as a compliment, because to them running like a girl is beating all the boys, and running your hardest. They realize that the majority of the population probably thinks that running like a girl means to be weak and slow, but agree that the stereotypical meaning should be changed.
