Serena Williams is a 35-year-old American professional tennis player. She has been playing as a pro for almost 22 years, and has been ranked number one in the world for singles multiple times by the Women’s Tennis Association. In singles, doubles, and mixed doubles, Williams has a record of 39 major titles, including four Olympic gold medals, ranking her third on the all time list. Serena won her first ever Grand Slam title at age 17, and with a total of 23 Grand Slam singles titles, the world famous tennis player also holds the all time record for most singles matches won at the Grand Slams.

After posting a picture with the caption “20 weeks,” Serena has recently confirmed that she is pregnant with her first child. While pregnant, she won her record 23rd Grand Slam title in January 2017.  Without ever dropping a set, Williams played to yet another successful title in her career. She has not competed since then due to a knee injury, and has decided to miss the rest of the 2017 season, but intends to return back the following year to win more titles. No leading single player at Serena’s age has returned to compete after a pregnancy, but the tennis champion has proved that her age is not a problem. Going strong at age 35, when most professional tennis players have already retired, Williams is still winning titles, and plans to return for even more in the following season.
