Din Tai Fung Review

Thaleia Tsintikidou, Staff

I didn’t know what to expect when I first went to Din Tai Fung. I’m a very picky eater so I was worried I wouldn’t find anything I liked. There is usually a long line when you go to Din Tai Fung so its best to make a reservation. If you choose to wait in line, there is a glass wall where you can see many of the talented chefs making the dumplings.

When you first sit down, they give you some time to order drinks and appetizers. I ordered a mango slushie with boba in it. It was not to sweet and had a great consistency.  My favorite appetizer was the sautèed string beans with garlic! I could have like 10 bowls of them, but I didn’t because by then I knew that there would be much more good food.

For our entrees we had a lot of food. We  had Fried pork chops with fried rice, Kurobuta Pork Xiao Long Bao (pork dumplings) which we got multiple servings of, Shrimp and Kurobuta Pork Pot stickers and edamame. My favorite were the pork dumplings. Alsp, the pork chops were really tasty!

Finally we were done with dinner! Din Tai Fung’s location is great because it’s in UTC mall. So if your in the mood, you can walk around the mall and to some shopping to burn off your food! Overall, Din Tai Fung is one of the best restaurants to go to.
