Electives at DNO

Lyla Bohannon and Sayla Egger

Diegeono students each have six class,

They have one class where they can truly express themselves. That is their elective class! Electives are a fun way for diegeno students to have fun doing the things they love. Students usually choose an elective because it relates to their passion, others join electives so they can try something new. All of the elective teachers are so helpful and engaging and are very flexible. Each elective functions. There are so many to choose from, such as College readiness, Stem, Journalism, Art, Multimedia, Drama, Asb, Spanish, and Band. Although students enjoy the list of electives, they wish that there could be more options. The most popular electives that have been suggested are Baking or cooking, crafts, garding and Interior design.

Some The electives you have probably never heard, of let’s bring you up to speed

STEM stands for  Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. STEM is an elective where students collaborate, communicate, research, problem solving, critical thinking, and creativity, skills that students need to be successful in today’s world regardless of specific interests or career goals.

Art is one of the very popular electives, many students apply for this creative class. In art you have the opportunity to express yourself and create anything you would like. In art class you can follow your own path and design your own papers.

ASB  stands for Associated Student Body, it’s where students can show their leadership skills and be involved. The ASB team is the people on campus that plan events for the school. We got the privilege to interview one of the ASP staff. Chloe Miller is a hard-working and dedicated student. She enjoys ASB because “I can work with other students and help make the school a better place.” says Chloe.  Although it can be stressful with sending invitations/important news  throughout the school. She loves being part of asp

There are many enjoyable activities that we can choose as a official class for the year, and maybe more to come in the future!
