Locker rooms

                                                                                            Locker rooms

PE is a part of an average middle schooler’s life, and also so are locker rooms. It seems to be that girls and boys have been using locker rooms since the beginning of time. According to Campus Rec, The earliest lock operated by a key was found about 4,000 years ago in the ruins of Khorsabad near Nineveh, the capital of ancient Assyria. After the invention of locks, people started locking their valuable and personal things in lockers. After that, a locker was invented, and they started putting lockers in rooms, so on and so forth.

There are old showers in the locker rooms that go unused, one because I don’t think anyone there just wants to take a shower in public, and two because they got shut off years ago and don’t work. According to Dave Waite, owner of the small business ASAP MFG, when he was our age, he used the locker room showers all the time. Like ours, no privacy whatsoever.

In conclusion, our locker rooms are in desperate need of remodeling. They’re too dark, and they smell like my brother’s sock after a long game of soccer.
